The Art of Marbling

Inks are placed upon water in a tray. The inks may be manipulated into a design. Paper is then placed upon the floating ink, capturing a unique print of the aqueous art.

I like to think of the ink on the aqueous substrate as an ephemeral part of this art form. The appearance of the water and ink will alter with each aqueous print.

Due to the very nature of Marbling, it has the potential of producing remarkably vivid colours and striking art. All our Marbling works are unique. No two marble prints can ever be identical.
